Temporary Design Team Members Wanted!

Hi everybody! I hope you are enjoying the sun, if you're getting any anyway.

Due to a few members of my Design Team being on holiday and moving home I have decided to have a temporary DT call. I am looking for a one or two enthusiastic individuals to join my current design team for the next six weeks. Temporary DT members will be required to produce one project per week that they also must post on their blog with details on how they created the piece and the materials used. If you are interested in joining the team on a temporary basis and can start right away please keep reading.

Who can apply?

Anybody can apply but you must be committed and reliable. If it is not possible for you to produce one project per week for the next 6 weeks please do not apply. Each temporary member will need to post their projects/blog link to the Jiggery Makery Facebook page on a specific day given (decided once you are on the team). Each member should have a blog to showcase their makes and to share links to the Jiggery Makery Facebook page and Etsy shop on. Members being active on social media is a must.

What skills do I need?

Colouring skills are paramount as I want my digi stamps shown off as the best they can be but as for projects they can be anything as long as my girls can be clearly seen. Projects could include cards, scrapbook pages, wall art, art journals, bunting . . . etc. There is a lot of creative freedom allowed, but all work must be of a high standard and a good quality of finish.

What about images?

Photos must be crisp, clear and high quality. Minimal amounts of filters should be used, if any. Photographs should be watermarked with the maker’s details (I always recommend this as once an image is online anyone can use it) and the Jiggery Makery Facebook Page web address or links should be posted along with the images somewhere underneath.

What about networking?

You need a blog of your own, that you post to regularly. The blogs themselves would preferably describe the making of the project in a step-by-step manner detailing the techniques used. Other products may be used of course in the making of the project but the digi stamp must be the main focus.

Other networking duties will include regularly liking/sharing/posting/commenting on the Jiggery Makery Facebook page, as well as promoting any challenges/competitions over the next six weeks.

Let’s recap!

So I’m looking for people:
. Who are available for the next 6 weeks
. Who can start right away
· With A Current Blog that they are regularly posting on
· Who will network regularly on the Jiggery Makery Facebook page
· Who will promote Jiggery Makery where possible
· Who will frequently put links to both the page and the shop in their blog posts
· Who are able to work with digital stamps
· Who will create physical projects (digital crafters may still apply but traditional techniques are preferred)
· Who create projects of a high standard
· Who are able to take clear photos of projects
· Who stay on schedule
· Who are enthusiastic and committed
· Who are creative of course
· And who genuinely like working with my digital stamps

Permissions and the contract

You will grant me permission to use the image(s) of your creations in the promotion of Jiggery Makery products. The permission would include but not be limited to use in the shop, on the blog and on the Facebook page. Wherever an image is used you will be given credit as the designer.

By being accepted into the design team as a temporary member you agree do all that is stated above. You will be rewarded with plenty of digital stamps and a badge for your blog but you must be dedicated and proactive.

To apply

Please send an email to adelebradwell01@gmail.com by midnight on the 2nd of August with a few examples of your work and a brief paragraph about yourself. You should include a link to your blog and any other networking site you post creative projects on.

Thats everything, I look forward to hearing from you. Take care!

'A special gift' - Christmas in July!

Hello everyone! I back with another Christmas card using my newly designed super sweet penguin couple, Percy and Lilly. For this card I have used the 'A special gift' digi, which is one of three new designs featuring the couple that I created for this years Christmas in July.

First I printed the digi onto white neenah card and coloured it using my promarkers adding details and shading with my prisma colors. Then I die cut the image, using a red fine-liner to add some stitch detail all the way around the edge. Then I was  able to shade the snow around their feet and add some Stickles glitter to the snow and the trim on their hats. I then layered this onto another die cut of burgundy card which I also added a stitch detail to with a white gelpen.
The card itself is 17 x 17cm which I layerd more burgundy card, gold and a light brown snowflake patterned paper on to. I stamped a rectangle piece of brown card with Pine Needles Distress Ink using a large stamp filled with Christmas related words and phrases. This was mounted on some red and brown gingham paper and positioned to one side of the card.
Then I taped down overlapping red and green ribbon onto the background which I had already accented with more red stitching. On top of this, secured onto the card with foam pads I positioned the main image. I finished the card off with a large layered bow with a button center and some green Dewdrops and red gems.

Well that's it, I hope you like it! I will also be teaching a class at J.B-Crafting Supplies (facebook.com/julie.bradwell) where we will be making this card. All my digis are available on my etsy shop (etsy.com/uk/shop/JiggeryMakery). Please keep an eye on the Facebook page (facebook.com/jiggerymakery) for Christmas games and giveaways all this month! Come back soon :)

Aren't they cute? I have decided to name them Percy and Lilly and hope they can spread that warm and fuzzy Christmas cheer. Please let me know what you think and if you have any ideas as to more digis with them both let me know.

So I will be starting the month off by showing you the card I made today using 'The kiss'.

So I went with an all blues and snowflakes theme. I have coloured the image with promarkers and I have added in some extra shading with my prisma colors just around the edges and to give their chubby cheeks a but of blush. Ok a lot of blush. I did the same for the snow in the background and made parts pop with a touch of glitter which I also added some on the their hat trims and pompoms. You need to have glitter at Christmas. Takes the whole year to get it out of the carpet though.

For the background I used a rectangle of some snowflake printed paper on top of a darker blue square. I then added texture and and a dash of sparkle with a strip on lace and lengths of satin and glitzy silver ribbon. I then mounted this on to my 16x16cm card base (sorry, I'm metric).

Then it was on to embellishments. Using a variety of snowflake dies and blue card I made this big layered snowflake which I adorned with silver gems. I then stuck it on the top left corner overhanging the edge as I thought it looked nicer and I have a roomy envelope for this one.

After that I stamped the sentiment 'If kisses were snowflakes I'd send you a blizzard' onto a die-cut in dark blue ink. For the main image to match and to help them stand out I added a stitch border with a blue fine liner around the edges of both. I even used this to add a few hearts around the sentiment which I touched up with glitter and a little white gel pen.

Finally after mounting everything on sticky-pads and positioning everything on the card I decided to add a bow to the sentiment cutout and some blue buttons to the lower left corner of the card to balance the design and voila! Its ready for Christmas and its super cute!

Well I hoped you enjoyed seeing what I have created and hope you enjoy the rest of the month. For those of you who have made it this far, I will be having the first giveaway on the Facebook page tomorrow evening so see you there. Merry Christmas in July!
